NAWEA/WindTech 2026 will take place September 21–23, 2026, at Portland State University in the heart of downtown Portland. Known for its vibrant neighborhoods, walkability, award-winning food scene, and commitment to sustainability, Portland offers an ideal setting for collaboration, networking, and innovation in wind energy.

We encourage attendees to book travel and accommodations early, as September is a popular time to visit Portland.

The conference venue is centrally located with convenient access to hotels, restaurants, public transportation, and Portland International Airport (PDX).

The Graduate Student Symposium will be held on September 20, 2026, with the main conference technical sessions, workshops, and networking events running September 21–23, 2026.

TRANSPORTATION

MAX Light Rail

Follow signs at baggage claim to the MAX station at the south end of the terminal.
Take the Red Line toward Portland City Center.
Transfer at Rose Quarter Transit Center to a Green Line train toward PSU.
Exit at PSU Urban Center/SW 5th & Mill.
Walk approximately five minutes to the Student Union’s SW Broadway entrance.

Allow approximately 55–65 minutes for the complete trip. The current adult fare is $2.80, and luggage is permitted aboard. Visit TriMet for schedules, service alerts and trip planning.

Rideshare Services

Uber, Lyft and other app-based rideshare services operate at PDX. After requesting your ride, follow airport signs to the designated rideshare pickup area. Travel typically takes 20–35 minutes, although additional time should be allowed during weekday rush hours. Fares vary based on demand.

Taxi

Taxis are available at the airport without reservations. Follow the ground transportation signs outside baggage claim to the designated taxi pickup area. The trip to PSU takes 20–35 minutes, depending on traffic.
